Monte Arabí

Monte Arabí is the magical mountain of Yecla, a place rich in archaeological sites and remains of various kinds, with valuable flora and fauna. There are also many legends and myths about this beautiful and mysterious mountain, making it the protagonist in various radio and television programs.

 

With a height of 1,068 meters, this iconic location not only offers breathtaking views of the surrounding valleys and vineyards but also houses prehistoric rock paintings that illustrate the rich history of the region.

 

On the slopes, archaeological remains have been found dating back to the 2nd millennium BC. But undoubtedly, the most valuable is prehistoric art from 6,500 to 10,000 years old. In 1998, UNESCO declared Monte Arabí a World Heritage Site.

Near Monte Arabí is the intriguing Cueva de la Horadada, one of the most picturesque places in the area.
